Question:

Fast food work?

So I just got a new job at Subway. I know... it isn't that glamerous, but I haven't had a job for over a year and am a recovery drug user. For me... this job is a blessing :)

I am really nervous though, 'cause the last job I had was working with disabled kids (which is my line of work). I got this job while I am in between semesters for some extra cash.

I am wondering... what is it like to work in fast food? I am used to be patient and waiting, but I don't think you have to really be patient.

Can someone tell me what I should be aware of? Is it easy work? And what I should know about fast food work?

  1. it isn't a easy job.  Because you have to deal with the people who think the food will appear in like 2 seconds.  That can get very annoying

  2. IT IS NOT THAT BAD,YOU WILL GET TO MEET PEOPLE THIS IS FAST PACE ,YOU WILL GET TIRED,AND YOU WILL HAVE TO BE KIND TO PEOPLE.SMILE.

  3. First congratulations on the recovery, keep it up.  The work can be trying and you're dealing with the public which is always a c**p shoot, but follow the rules, remember customer service, smile no matter how obnoxious the customer is, and do your best.  You've been through a lot, this should be easy if you keep a good attitude.

  4. stay healthy stay clean 8 hours on your feet and moving
