Fast internet however slow youtube?

I have considered fast internet, with 12000kbps(TESTED BY SPEEDTEST.NET) . Im using starhub with premium plan. However when i always view youtube videos, i will just jam and plays then jam and plays. It gets really annoying. I also realised that my friends have 3000kbps connection and that they can surf youtube without any jams.

Yes i use wireless, but i dont see the reason as my internet is still faster. Im using vista, 2gb ram.

One more question, my plan is STARHUB premium which is supposed to connect at 10MBPS, why am i only running 1.2MBPS?

there could be interference with your wifi.......usualy those speeds are the maximum you COULD get, it all depends on your location and how far u are from them. I could also be your ethernet cable running to your router is damaged?

I use wireless too and I have connection problems (mostly time outs) when there's bad weather (although I live 500 meters away from the transmitter). If it's not that, try to empty your browser cache (in Firefox click tools>clear private data and select only cache). If that doesn't work either it's really strange, but that last thing you can try is a video accelerator like http://www.videoaccelerator.com/ Maybe that will speed things up.

Also the 10 mbps are only on paper (most broadband is that way today), you're actually sharing the band will the people in your area, so if there are many other people downloading you'll download slower. You'll probably have better speeds at night, when there are less people connected.
