  1. Just some clarifications on the previous answers.  The FastPass is a free service where you can use your park admission ticket to avoid the regular line on specific attractions.

    How it works is that you go to the ride you want to get the FastPass for and receive a 1 hour window to return later on in the day.  When your times comes up you avoid the regular line and go to the FastPass return line.  When you return you will have a minimal wait(generally between about 5-15 minutes).  Each person needs their own FastPass, but as long as a person has the tickets they can get them for the entire group.

    Now, you are allowed only 1 at a time or every 2 hours.

    Case 1:  If you get a FastPass at 11am for Space Mountain.  If the return time is at 4pm-5pm you can get another FastPass at any other attraction(except Space Mountain) after 1pm, or after 4pm for Space Mountain.

    Case 2: You receive a FastPass on Autopia at 1:30pm with a return time of 2:30pm-3:30pm.  In this case you can get a FastPass for any other attraction at 2:30pm.

    Now, they will not let you use the FastPass BEFORE the start time.  However, you do not have to use it in that hour window if you happen to get stuck some where else in the park.

    Also, if you Park Hop between Disneyland and CA Adventure each park has a different FP system.  So you can get one at CA Adventure and Disneyland at the same time.

    They are currently avaiable on the following attractions

    Disneyland

    ===========

    Space Mountain

    Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters

    Autopia

    Indiana Jones

    Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

    Splash Mountain

    Roger Rabbits Car Toon Spin

    CA Adventure

    ============

    Tower of Terror

    Sorin' over California

    Grizzly River Run

    Mullhulland Madness

    California Screamin'

  2. First of all look for the rides with fastpass. then take your ticket and anyone else's that is with you to the fastpass machine. insert your ticket and it will print a little ticket stub and it will say return between 3:15 and 4:15 or something like that than come back to the ride at the time on the fastpass then at the bottom it will say you can get a new fastpass at 4:15 or whenever the time is.

  3. Your card to get into the park is like a little gift card.  You take that card to the ride you want a fast pass for.  It will give you another card telling you what time to return for your turn.  There is a separate fast pass line.  You take that line and it is usually considerably shorter than the other line.  You can only do one fast pass at a time.  For instance, we got a fast pass for the safari last year.  We got to the park around 10 and our fast pass time was for 1pm.  We were able to do a bunch of other things and head back.  I think we stood in line for about 10-15 minutes as opposed to an hour for those who didn't get the fast pass.  Seems kind of unfair, but with 4 little ones to keep entertained it was great!!

    Have a great time!
