  1. Cheapest way is to take the Piccadilly Line from King's Cross Underground Station.

  2. fastest, cheapest and most direct is obviously going to be the tube, Piccadilly line direct from Kings Cross St Pancras to Heathrow (adult cash fare £4.00, with an Oyster card £3.50 0700-1900 and £2.00 other times)  ... however it won't be easy with a LOT of luggage ... how much luggage have you got?

any of the different ways to get to Heathrow with a lot of luggage is going to be a hassle unless you can afford a taxi, which would be very expensive

why have you got so much luggage? ... can you not try to take less, or is it that you're an adult with children? ... if you're with children, try getting them a backpack each or a small trolley case each and getting them to share the burden with you

if you decide to go by tube, then you don't need to buy tickets in advance ... if you're coming into St Pancras by train, there is a possibility you could buy through tickets from wherever you're starting from right through to Heathrow using the train ... however this would mean getting into St Pancras, changing onto the tube to go to Paddington, then getting the train from Paddington to Heathrow ... so that would be two interchanges instead of the one

the other option would be to consider taking National Express instead of a train coming in to St Pancras ... I know it takes longer but if it meant changing coaches then it would probably be at Victoria Coach Station ... and usually there's fewer stairs and such like at coach stations than there is in rail stations

  3. If money's no object and the luggage is your main problem get a National Express coach! Get a student card to make it quite cheap.

If you are poor, like most people!!!, sorry but the tube's still the only/fastest/cheapest way.

Get a one day travelcard for about £5.
