  1. Unfortunately cheap to insure and fairly fast maybe mutually exclusive at your tender age! Try doing what we had to do when young ( fuddy thirty somethings! ) Get a car which is a fun drive! - most of us had an original mini that was quirky and cheap to insure!

    Good luck!

  2. Hows about something a little odd, a Mercedes 190e 2.0. I Am 22 and have little no claims and it would cost me around £550 so I think you could insure it for around the same as a 1.2 vauxhall corsa ( £900- £1100).

122bhp, £850 would get you a sound one. Most owned by old people so in good nick. Don't go to a main dealer for servicing and it will be ok on mechanical costs. If over 20 years old ( made between 1983 "Y" and 1993 "L") could insure as a classic car. Try it, you may like it!!

  3. it doesnt matta how fast it goes you can still only go past a speed camera on a 30 road at 30 mph :/

  4. If you're UK based then i would recommend a smart forfour CDI 95bhp diesel or 1.5l petrol. both very quick and cheap to insure. But if you're after a sports car then get yourself a smart roadster v. quick, rare & cheap to insurance.

  5. get a V6 mustang and put a CAI and tune. Insurance should be 120-160, if you have had no tickets etc.

  6. Stay away from Coupes; even when they're not fast, they're still expensive to insure.  Focus on a smaller sedan with the biggest naturally aspirated engine you can afford - avoid turbo or superchargers; as these will drive up the price of insurance.

For example, a Dodge Magnum is a 4 door wagon, and with the 5.7L V8 is pretty reasonably priced in the used car market; especially these days with the high cost of fuel (it guzzles gas).  The engine is naturally aspirated, so insurance ought to be pretty good.  0-60 is achieved in 5.8 seconds.

  7. MITE SOUND **** .. GET A FORD KA FUKING CHEAP AND SUPER LIGHT .. PUT A FEW BITS ON IT PIMP IT OUT AND UUL BE FLYING !!!

  8. Congratulations: I think you have received the highest number of wrong, c**p & bizarre answers I've ever seen!

(A couple of sensible ones too!)

  9. Probably an STi. The fact that it is four door and AWD will cut down on insurance. However, make sure you don't get a "fast color" as that will make it go up. However, any fast car is going to have much higher insurance, trust me, I have an S4...

  10. What do you consider to be cheap,

A 2004 Citroen C2 VTS will cost you £5500 to buy and around £850 a year to insure comprehensively.  125Bhp and 0-60 in less then 9 seconds.

If you go to the parkers insurance web page you can see what cars are in which insurance group, and then select one that you can afford to buy and insure.

Alternatively get yourself one of the italian 125 scooters, they go like stink and are very cheap to insure.

  11. Ha, look at all the Americans suggesting mustangs, and 5.8L V8's.

Sort of shows the difference in the kind of cars that we drive in england, and those over in America
