  1. The GT engine isn't that bad even if it only has 140 HP just needs a few mods, bigger cam shaft, lighter fly wheel, air intake there's a lot u can do to increase HP that won't break ur bank

  2. I currently drive a 2000 Toyota Celica Gt.  It looks great but sucks in terms of HP.  After doing some research I found the best motor for my car is the ST205 taken from a Toyota Celica GT-four (1994-1999).

My current stock motor produces about 140HP.  The ST205 GT-Four produces 255HP. (max)  I've found a few online that have really sparked my interest.  Especially considering the GT-Four was never released in the United states with an ST205 motor.

The set up is pretty easy as well.  The motor is a simple swap as the cars all share the same chassis.  I first considered installing a turbo but soon realized it may be cheaper to simply buy a motor and have someone install it.

An installed Turbo will only increase my to where a GTS standard Hp output and cost me anywhere from 3500-4500$.  I can purchase a used motor, transmission, ECU, clutch and anything associated with the engine, and have it installed for 3350-3550$ and get 255HP

Seems like a no brainier to me :)

If I were you I'd look into getting an ST205 Motor from a Celica GT-Four or MR2
