I'd say HMS is not doing so bad,

Is a Chevy gonna beat the pack this weekend? Jimmie seems to be way fast today. What do you think?

Truex: Truex did pretty good. Stanton needs to pick it up a bit, he was 47th. I like him too, and always pull for him.

i was just writing about that in another response. the hendrick drivers, hms driver-to-be, and the hms powered car did really well. if not for sadler and kyle, all the rest are chevys with some hms affiliation:

1. sadler - ems dodge

2. jimmie - hms chevy

3. gordon - hms chevy

4. mark martin - dei, but hms driver-to-be

5. junior - hms chevy

6. kyle - jgr toyota

7. leffler - haas/cnc chevy (hms chassis and engine)

8. casey mears - hms chevy.

impressive, although we'll have to wait and see as it wasn't clear who all had run qualifying runs and who ran only in race trim... but still impressive.

Well hot d**n, I certainly hope the HMS theme continues through Sunday evening.  It's nice seeing them ALL towards the top of the list (although I never really put too much stock into practices or even quals anymore).

That's OK, Jimmie and Jeff were 1-2 in the 2nd practice and Jr was 10th.  They will be fine on Sunday.

Earlier I picked Tony to win and Jeff to come in 2nd. However, I think it may be Jeff or Jimmie 1st. So to answer your question, I do think a Chevy will win this weekend.

I read an article that Hendrick has been working on their front designs. I have no clue as to where the link was. Can't remember. But I do remember the article saying that this next half of the season wasn't going to be the same for Hendrick. They supposedly have improvements in their setups.

All I can say is it sounds like it's going to be a good race.

HMS is not doing bad at all. When I saw it about 2 hours ago it was

2. Jeff

and Junior was 8th.  

They said Kyle was 26th in the 2nd practice but I might be wrong.
