Fasting ,,, would this be okay?

i started fasting yesterday, how long should i do this, im not doing this to lose weight, just to clear out my systome , i have been eating VERY badly so im turning over a new leaf, im going to fast for almost to weeks just eating salad with a bit of chicken and chease in it for every meal, about 4 times a day, do you think this will be good?

then when im done i will slowly bring healthy food back into my food rutien

  1. I don't think you should eat any chicken with the salad. Vegetables are completely beneficial for your body, and while chicken is good too, it won't put you at the highest advantage. Let it be purely vegetables.  


  2. um.. fasting means not eating anything

    "clearing your system" is kind of can't really be done, or done that way, considering that your enterocytes (cells lining your intestines) turnover every two weeks and your blood and lymph all in different intervals.

    it can take weeks to months for you to feel/ get rid of effects of bad diet.

    You should eat lots of healthy food and for life to stay healthy. like keeping the room clean instead of trying to have a massive cleaning sweep every month. Our body just does not work that way

    Oh if you want to clean out the bowels, then try fiber supplements or powders that dissolve in water or drinks.  

  3. When changing your diet, you should always consult with your Doctor first.

  4. Stop fasting and bring healthy food into your routine now.  Fasting for two weeks will damage your body.

  6. Fasting is NEVER recommended by nutritionists/dietitians because it is not healthy for your body.

    It is strictly an untrue rumor that fasting "clears out your system"

    I suggest that you forget about fasting right now and just start trying to eat healthier. It would be better to eat unhealthy for a day than to fast for a day because fasting not only affects you mentally all day, but also deprives your body of nutrients.

    So yeah, just start eating healthier and you will be fine... No need to fast.
