Fasting to "break the flesh"?

I have a problem with emotional eating, has anyone ever fasted to break the habit? Does it work?

  1. Yes, I have, and yes it helps a great deal. But only if you work on healing the emotions that cause you to eat in the first place. Learn to shift your focus to eating for health, to nourish your body, instead of to numb out. Fasting can help with this....it takes time to overcome emotional eating though, and patience. stick with it, it will happen...just t ake baby steps. All the best :) remember you CAN do it.
