  1. man up and push through !!

  2. You need to eat regularly. If you are fasting it should be properly supervised by a medical practitioner/nutritionist and therefore you probably would not be sleepy. Fasting without medical consultation can be dangerous. I suggest that you eat  to regain your energy level and strength and consult a medical practitioner/ nutritionist if you need to gone on any further fasting for whatever the reason. Your health is important.

  3. You've already gotten some good answers here.  But you don't give us a lot of information.  Are you talking about a prolonged fast?  Or a couple of meals for religious or medical reasons?

What is your definition of fasting?  Are you talking about a cleansing fast, where you still drink fruit juice and eat raw fruits?  (Which isn't technically a fast, anyway, but people still use the terminology.)

Are you talking about not eating but still drinking?  Are you talking about not eating or drinking all day, until after sunset?

Fasting for religious or medical reasons is fine, for instance a 24-hour fast without food or water.  Just make sure you are well-hydrated before you start, and don't spend a lot of time out in the hot sun or do a lot of physical exertion.  And take it easy when you start eating again.  During this type of fast, yes, it is normal to feel sleepy and super hungry, of course.  If you tend to be hypoglycemic, you might also feel grouchy when your blood sugar gets low, so let people know you're fasting, so they know why you're such a grouch.

On the other hand, fasting for cleansing or weight loss can be very dangerous, and should be medically supervised.

  4. If God has called you to fast it is for a reason and during that time you should be praying, and God will take care of the hunger and sleepiness as you pray.Be sure that God has called you to fast.

  5. What exactly do you mean by fasting?  If that means you're not eating anything or just drinking, then you are starving yourself. You are going to be sleepy because you are not fueling your body.   Food is fuel just like the gas one puts in the car.  You must have it to be active and super hungry is your body, of course, telling you it needs that fuel just like the car fuel gage sitting on empty.  You are on empty without that fuel there is nothing you can do to change the way you feel.  Please look at some of these sites for nutrition/fitness information that may get you off your fast, eating properly and exercising so you will never have to feel this way again:

At least try eating a kashi whole grain cereal bar of something, a piece of fruit, anything for some energy.  Good Luck!

  7. Fasting isn't healthy for you or your metabolism.  If you are fasting for religious reasons try to drink some water and EAT as soon as you can

  8. Get a diet soda and take a walk around the block. The caffeine AND the activity AND the outdoor air will help boost you back up again.

  9. the sleepy feeling is a blessing (in my opinion) it helps the time pass and yes if it is for religious reasons pray and push through if for weight loss reasons ask your self is loosing the weight worth the feeling if it is for medical reasons you have no choice and just be patient
