Question:

Fat popping out of my deep cut???

Last night my cat accidentally clawed my hand while jumping off, and left a cut on my pinky finger (palm side). It's not too big, and it didn't bleed terribly, but it seems really deep. As soon as it happened, this glob popped out. It looks like fat. Is this possible? It hurts much worse than a usual cut from my cat's claws. When I move my hand the cut opens up and the glob/fat pops out. Is this definitely fat? Should I go to my doctor? I would feel kind of silly going there for something so minor, but if I need a stitch or two I would like to get it done. I am treating it with antibiotic spray and neosporin.

  1. yes.  That is fat. Cats have a lot of bacteria on their claws and teeth. I would get get a couple of sutures and maybe an antibiotic.

  2. Cat cuts (even when the cat is well groomed) are dangerous not that you have to go to a doctor every time, but you should go to one if somethings popping out though, just in case

  3. Seriously, if you have something popping out of a cut, whyon Earth are you asking what to do on yahoo answers....GO TO THE DOCTOR!

  4. I think you should go to the doctor just to be on the safe side.

But you're doing the right thing using antibiotic spray & Neosporin because they will kill the bacteria and stop it becoming infected.

  5. You should go to the doctor
