  1. I believe in science for the most part.  But I am still open to the possibility of fate.  Just because we haven't yet been able to scientifically explain something yet doesn't prove that it doesn't exist.

To quote Tommy Lee Jones in Men in Black:

"1500 years ago, everybody knew that the Earth was the center of the universe. 500 years ago, everybody knew that the Earth was flat. And 15 minutes ago, you knew that people were alone on this planet. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow."

  2. I believe they are inter-mixed. I have a page on my blog, Seventh Soul, to talk about a wonderful movie you might want to watch called What the Bleep? Unfortunately, my blog's pages are not all complete and so that content is not there yet, but you might want to check out the movie (versions 1 and 2 are both on dvd) because the subject matter is fascinating.

If you're pondering this sort of thing, you might want to check out my blog at http://www.seventh-soul.com - it's a work in progress, but I definitely intend to keep exploring the concepts of science and logic (chemistry, math, quantum physics), along with the spiritual aspects of fate, destiny, free will, life purpose, karma, etc. because I think they all work together to define the unique, individual person that we are. Good luck with your quest for answers!

  3. Being a very religious (spiritual) person, I do not believe in FATE at all.

    I believe in FREE WILL.

FATE is the opposite of free will, because if the future is fixed, we can't alter it, and therefore we would not have free will.

I might be wrong, but the thought of not having free will scares the bejebbers out of me.

  4. science is explanation of everything, but yes it can feel like fate did seom of it. i believe in science more than fate, the name meaning, the true love, i don't believe any of it.

  5. I believe in both.

It depends on what the subject is and will vary from day-day because of a number of other influences and factors...

  6. Why can't you believe in both?

Science explains how things work. Faith explores the meaning of things. The concept of fate is part of faith.

These things don't conflict in my mind.

As far as fate goes -I see fate as a macro-expression of quantum physics and chaos theory. There are just too many variables to make accurate predicts and yet complex things happen that seen to be dictated by fate.

Isn't life wonderful? If I ever get all the answers I'll post them for everyone to read.
