We have ran into some finance problems..

So I only have $10 to spend on my hubby's gift..

I need some suggestions to get the most out of $10..

It needs to be something that my 7 year old son can do too..

Thanks for any ideas!

  1. Have your son create a picture/card for his father that's free if you have paper and markers and things at home.

  2. find out what your husband or bf likes, i got my dad a & eleven gift card cause he loves slurpees and made a card that said he was my role model (he is)

  3. Go to a craft store and get a picture frame your son can decorate, they are around $5 at most places.  Take a family picture with your husband and son and put it in the frame.  There is your gift and have your son make an original card and there is a great gift that he will remember for a long time to come.

  4. Well what immediately came to mind was a model. My dad loved building models when I was a kid. I think you can get one around $10.00 at Wal-Mart and they could work on it together. Then just have him make a card.

  5. home made gifts are some of the very most special and it truely is the thought and time put into it that really matters most. At micheals craft store there are all kinds of little craft ideas you and him could make together for dad and a kit would possibly cost less than 10 dollars.

    Some other ideas:

    - have your son write down all of his favorite memories with his dad and all the things he loves about his dad and then make something out of all his answers like a collage of "Who dad is to me..." and then laminate it or put it into a frame.

-If he likes a certain kind of cake or desert, you and your son could surprise him by making it for him and then letting your son decorate it.

-or maybe the two of them could go bowling together or do some other kind of inexpensive sport together for the day.

-buy a model car kit or something like it that your son and his dad could spend time doing together. You could get those for under 10 dollars i know.

-do a search online for other unique homemade ideas for a 7 yr old to make for his dad.

-buy him a box of his favorite candies and have your son make a special card to go with it.

-give him a homemade card and a gift certificate for a dairy queen treat so him and your son could go get a treat together.

-I hope this was helpful and that you are able to use something from this list. Good luck. :-)
