Father's Rights in the UK?

Can anyone give me some advice?

I'm thinking of moving abroad and would like to know if the father of my 4 year old can stop me completely?

1/ We are not married and have never lived together

2/ His name is on the birth certificate

3/ He sees her for one full day a week but she never stays at his house

Also, do his parents have rights because they are very pushy and overbearing?

Thank You

  1. To be honest, I don't think he has rights to stop you at all.

You're not committed to each other so that automatically makes things better.

And as you probably know, Fathers rarely win in cases like custody, so their rights are not half as big as the rights of a mother.

And his parents..well, they're not enough to stop you.

I'm almost certain you can move.

    99.9% sure :).
