My dad is walking me down the aisle and will be wearing a tux. Traditionally, does his tux match the groomsmen?

Also, does the grooms's father traditionally wear a tux?

Colors are white and wine. Wedding is in October.

Thank you are any help!

  1. the father should be wearing white tux cause he the father should wear tux as the groom

  2. Traditionally both father's wear tuxes. They can match the groomsmen or not. If the groomsmen are wearing wine or some vest color other than black I would keep the fathers in black vests.

  3. The fathers don't wear tuxes - they aren't in the wedding party. They just wear a nice suit, and would coordinate to match their wives, if they want, not the wedding party.

  4. The dad's don't have to match, but if they want to wear tuxedos, they can always decide on something similar to those of the others at the wedding. I'd want them both to wear black if it was possible.

  5. The dads don't need to match... only the wedding party goodluck

  6. for my wedding my fil wore a tux but didnt match the wedding party, my guys all wore the same black tux but with ivory shirts, the grooms men wore taupe colored paisley vests with black in them, with taupe ties, my hubby wore a ivory paisley vest with a taupe tie, and my dad wore a black paisley vest with a black tie...all the paisley was the same and it looked amazing when all put together...usually you can do a little something to separate the grooms men from the groom and the dad from both of them....btw its your wedding so its really what ever you want... good luck and congrats on your wedding
