My dad is constantly yelling at everyone in our family for the stupidest reasons sometimes. he's yelling at us every minute. Sometimes he'll be nice but then in a few second he'll go crazy over nothing. One time he was screaming at his wife over some spilt water. And when things go wrong I'm the first person he blames. Like the sink broke and a part was missing. Then he goes banging on my door saying I lost it, I told him I didn't but he kept saying I lost it, I locked him out but he was banging on the door treathening to Break it down with a hammer. Then it when in the other room and threw all my games out in the hallway. There are times when he's nice, thats when I tell him how mean he is to everyone, and he says that's a lie, then I also tell him that he's Bipolar (I read about it and he shows the symptoms of it) And he just laughs. How can i get him to admit that he has an anger problem.

  1. It does sound like your dad has a serious anger problem. But, that something he may never admit simply because it hard to get people to see themselves as you see them. He might have bipolar disorder but that has to be deterimine by a license psychologist. It would be good for him to go see one and also your whole family as well.

  2. You should talk to his wife and see what she thinks.  If the two of you agree that there is a problem then maybe you can work on this together and make him realize he really does have a problem.  My mom is a little psycho and I talked to her husband about it and together we now have her on the meds she needs.  Hope this helps some.

  3. You can't. But you can talk to his wife, and you can get a medical professional in to assess him. But you should try to do it soon, before someone actually gets hurt.
