Fave things to do in Abruzzo, Sulmona, L'Aquila...?

I've moved to Abruzzo (near Sulmona) recently. I wonder what are other people's favourite things to do here? I'm interested in trying horse-riding for example. Is anyone into trekking in Abruzzo? Or great sites to visit? Which museums are really good?

You can visit Pescara and Chieti near the sea. You can horse-riding and/or walking the Parco Nazionale del Gran Sasso and Monti dalla Laga or  Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo Lazio e Molise (Nationals Park). The best one is the first one park.
