Question:

Favor Presentation Ideas?

How would you display favors at a lounge style cocktail reception. There will be no assigned seating and no place settings. The favors are actually donations we're doing several different causes and making up small booklets with info on each of the charities and the personal reason we choose it. Some people will get organization "A" others cause "B" etc. Hopefully it could be a conversation point. The only thing I've seen so far is a table that they could just grab and go but I'm not fond of that idea. Thanks for the help.

  1. If you have seating at the ceremony why not put the favours on the ceremony seating and have the spares on a table at the enterance to be handed out by the ushers as they leave?

Otherwise maybe get the waiters to bring around the platters of finger food in pairs so one could carry a platter of food and the other could carry a platter of favors.

  2. Ah, I think that's a pretty cool idea of a reception!

You can have a "Favor Table" where you arrange the favors in a chic way, as presented in the following pictures:

This table is usually near the entrance/exit of your reception hall.

    Congratulations!!

  3. I did favors and instead of displaying them for people to take (i dont like either), i bought blue cocktail napkins (with our nakes and snowflakes ont hem) put them on their white china plate at their table, and put their favor in the middle. it adds color to the table, it looks really neat and clean, and the favor sitting on top of the napkin makes it stand out... so they pick up this really nice displayed favor, then read the napkin, and it definetely starts off the evening. (my favors are lil organza bags with candy in them)  and i really really like your idea of charities. if me and my husband werent' in need of money- being college students- i woudl LOVE to do that...

i dont know if this helps, but its better than nothing..maybe you could branch off and think of something from this idea!

if you dont have assigned seats, just sit the books at each setting so no matter where they sit down, there's one there for them...

    good luck & congrats!

also- bravo on the donations.. *claps*
