Favorite Hispanic meals, desserts, appetizers?

For a school project I have to choose a main dish, dessert and appetizer from a spanish speaking country other than mexico. Any suggestions? Anything will be much appreciated.

that is the link to a spanish recipe website...Spanish food is very good and it's not "mexican" but spanish...similar, but certainly not the same.

Panama-ropa vieja, shredded beef

arroz con pollo, rice with chicken

dessert-platanos en tentacion, platanos with brown sugar and cinnamon, yum

Paella, hands down. It's a great Cuban recipe.
