  1. Firstly, the Spanish won´t spend much on wine. The dearer wine is bought mainly by the tourists or other Europeans living in Spain. There are many good wines that you can buy here of an excellent quality. My favourite is from the region Penedes. It´s a Torres Coronas, but for an everyday drinking wine you can get a red wine in Supersol called Cumbres de Gredos. It comes in a litre carton and costs about €1 (67p).

Some have mentioned sangria, but sangria isn´t a wine, it´s a lovely drink but it´s a mixture of wines and spirits. The base wine is usually a cheap wine and the flavours come from the Spanish brandy etc.

  2. Rioja. It's actually a type of wine. It's a little tart, but delicious. I really feel in love with it while living in Madrid.

FYI: Sangria is not a wine.

  3. I love Novellino, it's a red wine that's quite sweet and smooth.

  4. Boone's Farm sangria, MD 20/20 sangria, Thunderbird sangria, Ernest & Julio Gallo sangria (1 gallon jugs

    with s***w off caps)

  5. The red wines from La Ribera del Duero and La Rioja are great. The wines from Protos are good ones and inexpensive.

  6. SANGRIA very soft & sweet.

  7. Ribero del Duero, it's delicious, memorable and expensive, however Rioja and Berberana are wonderful for every day drinking. I am referring to all these wines as red wines. The white Riojas and Berberanas are not as good.
