Favorite Store bought item that you doctor up and tastes great?

I've been mixing sauces, main dishes and experimenting with food my whole life. I was wondering who else out there has great home recipes made from 1/2 store bought and 1/2 fresh, or, just 2 or three items that you've purchased, plus your own love and all thrown together? Yes, I could just go to Food Network and look up Sandra Lee, but that's not what I'm looking for, please. I think that some of best cooks are right here! Thank you in advance!

  1. Yeah Bubba Burgers. Doctor them up with a little more seasoning and then add a lot of fresh veggies, tomatoes, lettuce, jalapenos, and maybe mushrooms. Probably not the exact answer your looking for but they're great once in a while.

  3. try this one:

    1 can tomato soup

    1 lb. hamburger meat

    1 package of biscuits (raw)

    american cheese

put the biscuits on bottom of casserole dish and bake until half done. brown hamburger and stir in tomato soup. pour over the biscuits. cover with american cheese. bake until chees melts and browns a little.  enjoy!

  4. I like to buy marinara sauce, put it in a small baking dish, top it with goat cheese, and freshly grated parmesan, bake it until hot and cheese is melted then serve with toasty baguette bread.

Canned black beans. I drain the beans and rinse well. I start cooking a couple of strips of bacon in a pot, when bacon is transluscent but not done, I add 1 can of beef broth, fresh garlic cloves, and the beans, then cook slowly for about 30 minutes until a lot of the moisture cooks out. It's yummy. I serve it with coconut rice (white rice cooked in 1pt coconut milk/1pt water).
