  1. Carpooling. I've got a long commute, and it's amazing to me how many people are looking for a carpool now. Do a search on "carpool" or "rideshare". There are many carpool sites that you can look for riders on.

Also, a money saver, not a gas saver tip:

  2. start walking

  3. I'm going to assume walking/bicycling is not what you're looking for. I ride with my windows down instead of using AC. You can also drive a little slower. Driving with higher RPMs is what uses more gas. So if you accelerate more slowly, you might save gas. Other ways, get oil changes and CHANGE YOUR AIR FILTER. Make sure your tires are properly inflated and check them regularly.

  4. The only one guaranteed to save you 100% of your fuel.  Leave the car at home and walk or bicycle instead.

  5. Bike or walk. Trust me, it really works!

  6. if you have to drive, here's my tip:

Accelerate and decelerate smoothly.  Not doing so can cause up to 15% of the gas to be wasted.

  7. Carpool, city transportation like bus, bike riding and rollerblading.....

  8. I go on line to see who is selling the cheapest gas around my house... use this link http://autos.msn.com/everyday/gasstation...

  9. Take the bus.
