Favorite grocery items?

Ok, I'm tired of eating the same old stuff and I run everyday so healthy food is of no concern to me. What are some really cool grocery items and foods that I can get for about a weeks time?

  1. Whole chicken!  Roast it and have with potatoes either mashed / roasted and a veg., next day make either enchiladas/ chicken salad/ soup.  Lots of meal choices.   I love fresh udon noodles, and I just add things like bok choy, mushrooms, leeks, and tofu. pesto is always good with pasta and shrimp, plus you can use it as a rub under the skin of the whole chicken and its great.  Soup is great thing to make and you can always tweek it just a bit to change it up during the week, and have with a salad. Those are just some things I like.

  3. Fresh pasta all the way.

    Speciality breads and freeze them.

    Heaps of cream and chocolate bars.

  4. Sheepherders bread,  turkey breast (lunchmeat) Havarti cheese. Make panini sandwiches. Put turkey and cheese inside sliced bread. Brush ourside of bread with olive oil. Toast in skillet on each side. YUM! You can always add tomatoes, lettuce and onions after toasted.
