Favorite kind of dog and WHY?!?

Siberian Husky.  Gorgeous dog.  Mine is very playful, obedient and affectionate.  Plus I love it when he howls at me.

German Shepard; I had one as a child and she protected me all the time. She was also the best playmate I ever had. Everywhere I walked by my home she was always there for me to protect me from all hurt, harm, and danger. They are good friends to have.

We currently have two Dachshunds (wiener dogs).  They have a big booming bark that is very impressive and they too are impressed with themselves.  They live for attention, think they can take on any dog in the neighborhood, leap tall buildings and are invincible.  The vet said we must take care of them so they do not try any of these brainy ideas or feats.  Ours also are quite well mannered and were taught not to beg for food and they hang out in the kitchen unless there is a noisy electric storm, then they try to hide under a bed or get near us. Sometimes they think that they can sneak into the dining room where there are wood floors and they stretch their feet so that their nails do not click on the surface to not make noise.

We also had German Shepards and I would trust my life with them.  They knew our family and habits and would have followed through in any heroic act.

brittneys are nice, but too often they are hyper. i had a perfect brittney, but she got cancer. i have never seen a bad black lab.

Irish Wolfhounds can be described in the same way.  I have never had a dog more loving, affectionate, and full of pride as the Wolfhound.

Mutts are the best!  They're healthier--purebred dogs (ie inbred dogs) often have the genetic predisposition for all sorts of health problems.  They also seem to be generally more even-tempered.  Also, mutts have distinct personalities.. if you get a purebred dog, you pretty much know what kind of personality they'll have.  I like surprises.

Staffordshire Bull Terrier! They have the benefits of a big dog, playful etc and can be cuddly like little dogs too!

Bassett Hound.  Not the greatest guard dog, but he can hunt, and knows when to relax.  He is also adorable!!

my favorite is a pitbull, mine is the best hes huge and acts just like my 6 month old baby spoiled hes was a baby when i got him after i had my son theyve been inseperitable ever since hes loyal and very well manored.
