I liked the trip from CA to TX near the I-40

Lake havasu, London Bridge, Grand canyon cavern, Grand canyon, meteor crator, painted desert, petrified forest, lava flows, continental divide, carlsbad caverns...

or coast of Maine...boothbay, mount desert...

Maine.  Bar Harbor, and the rest of Mount Desert Island is about the most beautiful place I've ever been.  Pay special attention to the sound of the waves meeting the shore.  They push the small rocks up, and as they roll back, the rocks roll down making a cascading popping sound.  Good food, too.

oh man so many I love the smokie mtns..theres san deigo then you have NY or hey i know its still messed up but new Orleans is fun...portland or crater lake...arrowhead out in CA mertel beach is cool DC is cool just depends on what you want and how can i forget Chicago.
