Wooshaa! Is not tanking and always has faith in the younger boys which shows he really trusts his team even if it is a younger side - good on ya!

And i love how brett ratten and bomber thompson are going - ratten for lifting the carlton footy club alot since last year and thompson for doing such a good job coaching an unstoppablle footy club!

  1. I would have to go with Woosha the players love him but he is tough and is the ultimate optimist last night on the news he said we were going to beat the Cats.

  2. Mark Thompson from Geelong! He is a great coach: Great game plan, good with the media( very laid back) and hes cool!

  3. ROOSY, does this guy ever get rattled?

  4. I like Mick Malthouse, but apart from him, Paul Roos is great, because he is always relaxed, and he has a sense of humour! I also think that Matthew Knights has done extremely well in his first season at the Bombers, and he is taking his team in the right direction.

  5. apart from the obvious pies supporter saying malthouse and i have a reason, he is the all-australian coach and only coach to beat the cats, i like dean laidley who is the quiet achiever for the roos, they are the most under rated side in the comp and laidley has done great to get them there

  6. Neil Craig. because ever since he's taken over, the crows have always made appearances in the finals.

Danniher was funny. and i dont mind Paul Roos, and Woosha

  7. West Coast is playing for the draft and piority picks, but we wont go into that, hey

Fav coach at the moment?  Clarkson from Hawthorn.

Just seems to be a cool cat, who goes about the buisness without to much fanfare - a just get the job done approach.

When they show him in the box, or after a game, he seems to be made of the good stuff, and I reckon he will make a great long term coach for the hawks.

  8. Clarkson

    Roos

    Bomber

    and

    Laidley

  9. Mick Malthouse is cool and so is Clarkson and Craig.

Roos cheats and lies and tanks pre-season matches.

    Bailey is grumpy and mean

Wossha seems like a decent bloke but is a c**p coach and might be a tanker.

Mathews is finished and wont go away.

Laidley good coach but weird and a little bit freaky at times

Thompson is a cool cat but if they were loosing every week it might be a different story.

Williams has a very deceitful face and cant be trusted.

  10. Dean Laidley. The quiet achiever.

  11. Bomber.  Anyone who coaches the Cats to a flag and then has them on track to do it again is always going to be my favourite.

  12. Aside from Woosha for obvious reasons, I would say Clarkson & Thompson. Two coaches who's fans were calling for their heads not that long ago and now Geelong are pretty much unbeatable and Hawthorn is sitting pretty second on the ladder. Two blokes who stuck to their plan and by god has it worked!!

P.S. Cpt braino: Ken Judge was a complete psychopath when it came to coaching and their probably would have been a mutiny had he stayed! Woosha on the other hand is a respected West Coaster who has the faith of the club and fans (and lets face it, one bad year after 2 GF appearances and a 3rd on ladder is not too bad. We also have a current fit players list of 25 to choose from....)

  13. My favorite coach would be Bomber. I met him at social club twice and have my picture with him in my cube at work. Bomber now reminds me of Mick Malthouse in the 90's. Such a fantastic, interchangeable list, you just roll the dice during selection meeting and whatever 22 turn up, you are a winner. Not much coaching involved with this.

Best coach among the 16--Paul Roos. He has taken a team with only one superstar--Adam Goodes--and a bunch of Dow Jones players, up and down each week, sometimes a good game followed by four clanger games. Roos made them into a GF team twice and once a premier.

  14. I agree with you on all the points you made! Woosh and the crew deserve a big congratulations on the past 8 years in the finals! and recruiting so well over those years, with limited draft picks.

I have so much respect for whoosh, he said this week he was not making contact nor talking about anything to do with trading/recruiting any players from other teams during the season is still on because he doesn't think that is the right thing to do to the club they are currently at other clubs. I have admiration for him doing that, when he could simply contact players and their managers during the season!

Don't get me wrong i do think it is great what ratten has done in changing the club around, although i wish he wouldn't act like kerr is a great possibility to go to carlton.. i know he just wants to improve his team but i think he owes as the respect to not be-little as and act like he is always in charge.

Bomber Tompson wow!! He is just amazing the force he has built geelong into, i hope west coast are half as good as them in the near future.

  15. Ratts is the man ,a true Carlton person. Credit to Pagan but he was never a Blues man more a Roo, which he has shown after his sacking!

  16. Easy one...Woosha. I have never had more ammunition to fire at weagle supporters as I have had this year. THANKS WOOSH!

  17. i like Mark Thompson and his laid back nature, Mick malthouse coz hes the coach of my team and Al Clarkson.

  18. Bomber Thompson (cats) He has proven his worth. And even when he coached the big V all the players mentioned how calm he was. If he can win over the best of the vics then he's won over me.
