Favourite color?

who can tell me what was queen Victoria's (1837-1901) favourite color? can't find it anywhere!!

back in the 1800s people didnt care about what color they were wearing. royalty however did care that they were fashionable but colors however werent a big thing back then. it wasnt something you went around asking to put in bio info.

Sorry, but this is a pointless question since no-one on this site could possibly know the answer.

Some people have said black since she wore it for years but that was only because she was in mourning not because it was her favourite.

Black, it's about the only colour she wore.  Also, the first stamp in 1840 was the penny black with QV's bust on it.

Queen Victoria remained in seclusion for many years after her husband died in 1861, and wore black for the rest of her life (she died in 1901). Albert's rooms were maintained exactly as they had been when he was alive; the servants even brought hot water for shaving to his dressing room each morning. None of this was particularly unusual during the Victorian era, however. In time Victoria's depression lifted and she resumed her royal duties, but she never ceased mourning for Albert.

When she was younger, she usually wore white, and started the white wedding dress fashion.  She loved her blue diamond, the star of India.  Otherwise, she doesn't say.  My guess, whatever Prince Albert was wearing was probably her favourite colour.
