Favourite men swimmers to win the 2011 FINA World Championship titles – Swimming news
The 2011 FINA World Championship is set to take place in Shanghai, China, from July 16- 31. As the event will commence in less than a week’s time, predictions as to which swimmer will impress at the meet is under scrutiny.
Several men are considered to be the hot favourites to win at the 2011 World Championship titles.
Men’s 50m freestyle
Olympic champion, Cesar Cielo of Brazil is the hot favourite to win the Men’s 50m freestyle title in China, whereas, Fred Bousquet has the chance of securing the silver medal. Nathan Adrian is supposed to win bronze in the respective meet.
Men’s 100m freestyle
Olympic champion of United States, Nathan Adrian is predicted to secure the gold medal in the Men’s 100m freestyle meet. Cesar Cielo is assumed to grab silver, while Brent Hayden is a strong contender to win the bronze medal.
Men’s 200m freestyle
In the Men’s 200m freestyle relay, 14-time Olympic champion, Michael Phelps is asserted to clinch the gold medal, whereas, Tae Hwan Park is believed to clinch the second position on the podium. Ryan Lochte is deemed to take bronze in the event.
Men’s 400m freestyle
The 2008 Olympic gold medallist, Tae Hwan Park of South Korea is believed to win the gold medal in the Men’s 400m freestyle. Sun Yang is predicted to win silver, whereas, Ous Mellouli is a strong challenger to snatch the bronze title.
Men’s 800m freestyle
Sun Yang of China is the favourite to lift the Men’s 800m freestyle crown. Ous Melloli is inferred to secure silver, whereas, Ryan Cochrane is considered to grab the bronze medal.
Men’s 1500 freestyle
Sun Yang is expected to notch the Men’s 1500m freestyle crown, whereas, Ous Mellouli is assumed to hold the second spot on the podium. Ryan Cochrane is expected to snatch bronze in the meet. 
Men’s 50m back-stroke
Camille Lacourt of France is believed to hold the gold medal in the Men’s 50m back-stroke, while Liam Tancock is deemed to take silver. Junya Koga is predicted to win the bronze medal.
Men’s 100m back-stroke
Camille Lacourt is expected to take hold of the Men’s 100m back-stroke title, whereas, Ryosuke Irie is anticipated to snare silver. Nick Thoman is assumed to take home the bronze medal in the respective event.
