I have many favourite bollywood movies, but  Sholay is kind of on top of the list, especially for these reasons :

1 It has its fairthe right amount of action, comedy, romance, drama and music.
2 I still do watch this hindi movie - I can watch it again and again.
3 Every character in Sholay is very very well defined. However small his or her role may be, and whether he is on the good side or the bad side, leaves a mark on your mind.
4 Excellent dialogues ! Everyone must surely have used one or the other dialog from Sholay atleast once in their lives !!
5 For a film made more than 30 years ago, it was technically brilliant.
(Released in 1975)
6 Last but not the least, Amitabh is my favourite star :)
