  1. I have been wearing Grishko Fouettes since I was 9 (I'm 14 now, do the math) and I don't think I can go back to anything else. I get the super hard shank (special ordered) with a cottom fiber shank instead of a red board. I also get a lower vamp because the original one is too high but every other pointe shoe's vamp is too low for my foot. I have an extrememly high and strong arch and tend to snap medium shank pointe shoes after one dance class. Fouettes are strong, cheaper than other Grishkos, very quiet, and have a V-Vamp. This accentuates my arch without making it collapse. I don't break them in before wearing them just so that I don't break them, but I darn the box to keep it from fraying and looking horrible and put water on them right before the first wearing to mold them to my feet. These are the only shoes that mold to your foot with water after one wearing that I've tried. I would recommend these to someone with a super high, strong arch, someone who wants just enough box but not to much, someone who wants shoes that are easy to break in, and someone who wants shoes that feel custom made even if they're not.

  2. Freed classics, medium shank. They work the best for my feet and always break in just how I like them.

  3. capezio with x-tra hard shank

i have a very strong arch and the shank lasts longer than most and i also have very wide feet and the box is wide enough that my feet and not completely squished and they are well made too

  4. Bloch.

Not too expensive, always seem to have a good fit, good choice f shank and model, they don't wear out too quick, look good, easy to break in, easy to move in, seem comfier than others.

  5. I like Bloch Signature Rehearsals. They aren't over priced, hold up well, and fit my feet really well. I have had two pairs of them and love them. I have tried other brands, but I prefer the Bloch. The most important thing about pointe shoes is the fit and not so much the brand. If you go somewhere that doesn't fit them right, then you will have problems. My friend went somewhere and was fitted horribly. She ended up losing Both her big toenails twice and 6 other toenails as well. It was, as you could imagine, a pointe shoe nightmare!

  6. Gaynor Minden!! EVERYTHING ABOUT IT IS PERFECT!!!!

  7. I liked Gambas, I have really wide feet, my arches are low, but very strong, so I like the carbon fiber shank as opposed to redboard....

And whoever the theumbs down bandit is, better stay away from ym answer!
