  1. Even though I don't eat fish, my favourite restaurant is Lemon Sole/Crofts in the high street. The decor and service are great, the food is lovely (they have a wide selection of fish, meat, poultry and vegetarian options) and its rather novel. You actually pick the piece of fish that you want from a fish counter and then you choose the sauce and accompanyments to go with it.

    Failing that, sopranos and the pizza restaurant in hilsea are also very nice, a bit more casual. Best restaurant in gunwharf i believe is Strada (altho service lacks) or Levant (if mediterranean is your thing). I am still waiting for a wagamama to open so fingers crossed!

  3. Something good in Esher, Surrey at the Thai Pagoda, superb curry at Poole, Dorset in the Taj Mahal, foods good but what's up at the new Spice Club in Tunbridge Wells? Not even tipsy at the Park Restaurant in the Mandarin Hotel in Knightsbridge, London, while some of the best food ever at Eleven Madison in New York, USA.

    view over the sea watching the Royal Navy ships heading

    out of West Would Ho is a sight to see. See you down their.

  6. santa fe in gunwharf, fantastic food me and the hubby have been going every year for four years never had a bad meal fantastic views especially in the summer and friendly staff what more can you ask for !!

    also pizza house restaurant in hilsea, mad owner but very good food

  8. Country Kitchen down Southsea near Waitrose, great veggie menu great tasting food even though I am not a veggie myself
