  1. I think Favre was not happy where he was.  He said it was too stressful.  Maybe he needs a change of scenery.  Or does the NFL have part time positions?

  2. In frankness, Favre was getting to be to self-serving.  He was upset when the organization hired Ted Thompson, who is a determined manager.  He was upset when Thompson refused to hire Steve Mariucci as head coach.  He was upset when Thompson didn't chase after Randy Moss when available.  Favre made no secret of his disappointments in those situations.

Yet, with Thompson, without Mariucci and without Moss, the Packers went 13-3 last year and went to the NFC Championship.  Let's stop to think exactly WHO tossed that ugly interception which literally handed the NFC Championship to the Giants.

  3. I still like Favre, and even though I am not a Packers fan, I wish he would have stayed with them for another season. I think they would have made a good run this season.

  4. Was Farve part of the reason why Green Bay was put back ONTO the football map again.  For the last 16 years he has done some great things and some not so great things.  But football comes down to the players on the field. Coaches can put you in position but they can't play it for you. I think the Packers made a mistake keeping Rodgers as the starter.  I know it was only a scrimmage but 7 for 20. If the Packers where done with Farve why does it matter where he goes. Are the Packers afraid of him playing him? Think so, sending him to the Jets. If Farve would have went to Minnesota the Packers would have went 0-2 and watched Minnesota win the Division. Can you tell me where I can get a New York Jet Jersey with the #4.

  5. Favre is still the man

  6. Time will tell. I live in Wisconsin, and there have been people that, no matter what, stuck with Favre and won't hold him accountable for anything. Like 2 out of his last 3 playoff seasons ending with HIM throwing bone-headed INT's in overtime - had that been a RB fumbling, they would have been crucified.  Instead, Favre Faithful blame everything else that went wrong with those games instead of making him accountable.

Those are the people that will be torn the most because of their loyalty to the organization and/or their loyalty to "Lord Favre"... which one will be greater.
