The Borussia Monchengladbach manager has blasted his side after the embarrassing 5-0 loss to German champions, Borussia Dortmund.
The Foals were hammered by Jurgen Klopp’s side at the Signal Iduna Park this weekend as they lost out with a 5-0 scoreline. Former Gladbach man, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Jakub-Blaszczykowski-c17616
found the net to secure all three points for the home side.
Lucien Favre is certainly not impressed with his side’s poor display earlier this week and has criticised the defence for putting up a disastrous showing in the game. He admitted that the side conceded some poor goals throughout
the course of 90 minutes and blamed the players for not giving their all.
The tactician insisted that this kind of performance in not acceptable and warned the players to improve on their displays for the future games. He stated that the side showed no composure and stressed that the players lacked determination
throughout the fixture.
“We didn't start badly, but afterwards we forgot how to defend. A few players thought defending wasn't their http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Job-c18684. We conceded silly goals. Some of them played like old men. And some of the mistakes we made in possession were unacceptable,”
he was quoted as saying in an interview.
On the other hand, Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp hailed his players for a sensational performance and is looking forward to a successful season ahead. The manager rated it as a vital win and is happy that the team is back to winning
ways after two poor results in the league against the likes of Hamburg and Eintracht Frankfurt.
“We worked our way into the game and everyone showed that they're ready to put in plenty of effort. The scoreline flatters us; the difference between the two sides wasn't that great. For us, it was just important to win,” he concluded.
Borussia Dortmund are currently third on the Bundesliga standings table with 11 points, seven points adrift of Bayern Munich, who are leading the pack. The Black Yellows will next travel to face Manchester City in their next UEFA
Champions League game.
