The Foals’ coach believes that his side can still qualify for the UEFA Champions League group stages by overcoming Dynamo Kiev in the qualifiers, even though, they lost the first leg 3-1 at Stadion im Borussia-Park.
Borussia Monchengladbach head coach Lucien Favre suggested that his side can pull off a major surprise and can stun Dynamo Kiev in their away clash of Europe’s Premier cup competition’s qualifier. He believes that the Bundesliga
club is capable of making a comeback after finishing among the top four teams of the German league last term.
Die Fohlen outfit were defeated 3-1 by the decorated Ukrainian club a week ago on August 21. Even after a massive defeat the 54-year-old former player remains optimistic and feels that they still have an outside chance of staging
a shocker for Kiev. Gladbach desperately need to play in Europe’s elite competition to generate funds for the club.
The tactician claimed that the Bundesliga side put up great efforts last time around and were rewarded excellently by finishing fourth in the league. Favre’s team were very impressive and at one time were challenging for the title,
therefore a shock defeat at their home ground was astounding and they will try to alter the result in the second leg.
"We worked so hard last season and did so well, so the home defeat was a big surprise," Lucien Favre was quoted as saying in his interview.

The match is due to take place on Wednesday. Gladbach have started their league campaign with a winning start defeating Hoffenheim 2-1 in the league opener.
