Question:

Favre to the Vikings still?

We all know the Packers wont trade Favre to the Vikings. However, what if the Packers trade Favre to Tampa Bay for Chris Simms and a third-rounder or something, and then the Vikings turn around and trade a second-rounder to the Bucs for Favre?

Is there any way for the Packers to prevent a trade-and-trade like that? You know the Vikings want and need Favre a lot worse than NY or Tampa Bay - especially QB-deep Tampa Bay - and would probably be willing to give up a lot more than either the Bucs or Jets would have to to get Favre from Green Bay, so it'd be a win-win scenario for everyone except the Packers on opening night.

  1. wont happen, gruden is h**l bent on ruining the future of the bucs by getting favre.  not that favre sux but he's only got maybe one more season in him.  garcia did great last year and this puts back simms development.  penny wise and dollar foolish

  2. This would be called gifting a player to another team and Goodell would have no choice but to prevent it. Also Tampa would then be responsible under the salary cap for all of favres 12 million. no way tampa would do that and they believe favre is an upgrade over garcia.

  3. If Green Bay puts a clause in the contract then they can't

  4. I hope that happens. Nothing better than to see Favre win for the Vikings.

  5. lets hop cause mn needs a super boowl

  6. I dont believe so but either way i surely hope he has a good season i would hate to see him come back and have a bad season. It was good how he left on one of his best seasons, so hopefully he can have a good one wherever he goes
