I find Burton a bit over-rated (great visuals, stories are often lacking though), but I'll vote for Sleepy Hollow

This film is visually beautiful, Tim Burton did a fantastic job. It was a big responsibility, because the original was already very good, but the remake is even better.

I love the dark, muted colours and the wonderful gothic atmosphere that pervades the whole film & of course Johnny Depp is perfect in the role of Ichabod Crane.
