Fawn Cloverhill, a surprise factor in William Hill 480 Standard - Div 1 at Wimbledon
The odds are unlikely to be in Fawn Cloverhill’s favour, but the punters should not overlook the in-form hound in William Hill 480 Standard - Div 1, being held at Wimbledon on Tuesday, August 7th.
The fawn dog is in fine fettle these days. Ahead of a brilliant trial race, he sealed four consecutive triumphs, including three at the open level. After so many good performances, Hondo Black’s son is full of confidence, and will be a huge threat to the
entire line-up in today’s 480 metres clash.
He is facing a lot tougher opposition this time, but still it will not be a good move to ignore his chances. So, the punters should keep an eye on him while staking their money tonight. Among his rivals are:
Loughteen Blanco, Bridge Honcho, Smiler Jack, Murlens Houdini and Stellars Blue. A cash prize of £500 is reserved for the triumphant hound.
Smiler Jack is very dangerous hound, but his inconsistent run will be a concern for those interested in betting today. The black dog is running at Wimbledon after a good while, and will be under some pressure. Hondo Black’s son will have to take an early
advantage after starting the party from the red box in order to do something special.
Loughteen Blanco remained unlucky on his previous two outings. S. Cahill’s trainee lost his luck after a couple of wins last month. Even if he fails to finish on top of the table, he will be able to make up to the podium.
Bridge Honcho knows how to win big races, and has proved his mettle on a number of occasions. Yet, it would be a dangerous decision to pin up too many hopes on him, because he is inconsistent these days.
Murlens Houdini seems to have no chance after a couple of embarrassing defeats lately. Stellars Blue made a couple of fine outings here last month, and can repeat the show.
There are many strong runners in the line-up, but Fawn Cloverhill seems to be the most consistent one. After five consecutive good races, he is geared up to beat this line-up. We wish the best of luck to all the runners.
