  1. Hi TM.

The best to use and the simplest now are plain paper fax machines, As the thermal paper will fade with time or sunlight or even heat and has a habit or curling up, but it doesnt need ink!.

The Ink cartridge version will last reasoble well, but we have just switched to laser/fax, its really a multifunction device, scanner, copier and laser plain printer in one, and its small, the same size as a normal fax!. If its a plain paper its takes standard A4 80gsm paper, available everywhere and cheap.

So stick with these and they are reasonably reliable. Best to buy a branded one, if you get a colour multifunction printer, make sure it has seperate colours, so if the cyan runs out you just replace this, rather than the tri-colour version where you throw away ink still in the other wells of the cartridge.

    Hope this helps...
