  1. I found this for you on www.ancestry.com

    Faye

English: late 19th century coinage, from the archaic word fay fairy. It was to some extent influenced by the revival of interest in Arthurian legend, in which Morgan le Fay is King Arthur's half-sister, a mysterious sorceress who both attempts to destroy Arthur and tends his wounds in Avalon after his last battle. She is sometimes identified with the “Lady of the Lake”. Variants: Faye, Fae.

    hope this helps.

  2. It means 'Fairy'.

  3. English Meaning: Fairy

    French Meaning: Faith

Faye is derived from Middle English faie meaning "fairy", such as in the popular Arthurian figure of Morgan Le Fay.

Faye is also the English form of the old French Foy, meaning "faith" (from the Latin 'fides').

Sainte Foy was a French martyr who lived in Agen, in 300 AD.
