Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 2011 – Emerging players for Pakistan – Part 1
The recently concluded Faysal Bank Super 8 T20 Cup 2011 turned out to be a huge success for the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in more ways than one.
The biggest positive for Pakistan was the fact that a number of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Young-c98322 players emerged in this tournament, which augurs well for the future of cricket in the country.

him if he is not good enough in the fielding department.”
Some of the emerging players of this tournament are as follows:
Rameez Raja Jr.
Karachi’s top order batsman, http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rameez-Raja-c2277 Jr., has impressed one and all with his extra-ordinary performances in the semi-final and the final of the event. He performed exceptionally well in the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2010-11, Division
One as well and caught the eyes of the selectors.
The 23-year-old, batsman came through the ranks of junior cricket in Pakistan as he represented his country at the under-19 level and also played for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 A.
Rameez remained the top scorer in the tournament with 238 runs in only five matches, with an outstanding average of 47.60 runs per innings. His performances include a match winning 97 in the semi-final against Sialkot Stallions.
Not http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Gordon-James-Muchall-c60376 in terms of style or flamboyance; however, the right hander is extremely efficient when it comes to scoring runs under pressure. Let’s hope that he can deliver the goods for Pakistan as well, if given the opportunity.

http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Ali-Khan-c996, did not do much in terms of numbers, but his middle-order spot is to blame for that. His performances on the other hand were proof of his class.
Ali played an outstanding knock in Sialkot’s first match of the tournament against Lahore http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Lions-c808, but in a losing cause. He scored 67 runs and struck some extra-ordinary shots. The 21-year-old batsman has also represented Pakistan
Under-19s and is extremely talented.
The former Pakistan captain, Amir http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Sohail-c90628, is also very impressed with the middle-order batsman and urged the national selectors to pick him for Pakistan’s national squad.
