Faysal Bank Super Eight T20 to begin in Faisalabad – Live TV coverage and Day/Night matches – Cricket News Update
The http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Pakistan-c755 Cricket Board announced the long awaited schedule for the domestic T20 cup on Friday night, June 17, 2011.
The Faysal Bank Super Eight T20 cup will begin from June 24, 2011, and the first match will be played between Faisalabad wolves and Multan tigers at the Iqbal stadium, Faisalabad.
The Pakistani sports channel, Geo super, will telecast the live coverage of this tournament, which will be a huge step in promoting domestic cricket.
The agreement between PCB and Faysal bank was signed in Lahore for a three year partnership, in October last year.
The former COO of PCB and current Director of Domestic Cricket, Mr. http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wasim-Bari-c96296, has termed it as a critical tool in the development of domestic cricket in the country.
The domestic T20 cup will be held outside Karachi and Lahore for the first time. Faisalabad will witness day and night matches and for making this possible, 2.4 million rupees were spent on the stadium’s renovation.
Eight teams are participating in this tournament stretching from June 24 to July 1. The Participants are divided into two groups, A and B.

Group B: Faisalabad Wolves, Rawalpindi Rams, Karachi http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Multan-c819 Tigers.
The Lahore city cricket association revealed to the press that veteran Abdul Razzak will not be available to play for the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Wahab-Riaz-c95839.
The two are currently playing in the Friends life T20 tournament in http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c749, but the LCCA is determined to call Wahab back, as he is the central contract holder which makes his presence important.
LCCA said that the http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Main-c73911 aim of the team at the moment is to have their best players back and defend their title as they were the champions of the last season.
The winning team of the Faysal Bank T20 tournament will be awarded Rs 2.5million and the runners up will get 1 million rupees.
