Fazza favourite for Red Bull Handicap
Fazza is expected to prevail in the Red Bull Handicap at Chester in England on Saturday, May 26, 2012. A cash prize of £5,175 will be awarded to the winner of the class-4 event.
Stamina will be crucial in today’s race, as the overall distance to cover for all participants will be 1 mile, 2 furlongs and 75 yards. A total of 11 runners have been confirmed for the event, which is scheduled to start at 16:35 GMT and their names are
as follows: Fazza, Knowe Head, Elizabeth Coffee, Calaf, Look Left, Early Applause, I´m Super Too, Iulus, Watered Silk, Dhaular Dhar and Mahadee.
Out of the above mentioned runners, Fazza has the best chances of winning, as he is carrying a very good momentum right now. Things will not be easy for him, but the punters will still be risking a lot of bets on him.
The five-year-old gelding has participated in 29 races until now, winning five of them and finishing runner up on three occasions. In addition to that, he has also taken the third spot on four times, which shows that he is capable of fighting at the front.
Although the Edwin Tuer’s trainee does not have a very good strike rate, his performances in recent times have been pretty much impressive. He was victorious in his previous outing, which shows the kind of momentum he is carrying at the moment.
Despite not being rated as the favourite last time, Fazza made a strong impact in the race. He did not start well, but that did not matter much, as his stamina determined the outcome of the event. He crossed the finish line with a comfortable lead of two
and a half lengths.
A similar run would definitely ensure Fazza another victory. He will be partnered by Adam Carter, who is a promising rider and will be looking forward to a strong show at Chester.
Other than the above mentioned runner, there are a couple of more decent performers, who can walk away with a victory in the race. One of them is Knowe Head, who is in a decent shape right now, as he was victorious in his most recent outing.
Overall, the five-year-old gelding has participated in 17 races, winning three of them and he will prove to be a fierce rival for Fazza.
