  1. Fear is natural, but you have to ignore it, you have to just go for the wave.  Use your brains, analyze the wave, see how it's going to break, and if you know its going to close out, just wait til a good looking wave comes.  But its true, you can't hesitate.  Once you decide to go, GO.

  2. No. Fear is when you dont have the courage to face an obstacle and beat it. If you hesitate, Yeah your worst fears could come true. But if you get some balls and have courage, there wont be fear, meaning there is no hesitation, meaning you'll be beating you obstacles and fufiling goals

  3. I know...haha the bank robber philosophy.

    Very true.

This will lead to being a free agent.....we can all be.

our society just holds us back....and it's just wrong......

  4. Yes fear does cause hesitation, but so does uncertainty, lack of concentration, and lack of abilities/skills.  Nevertheless, hesitation is a result of not trusting yourself to commit; whether it's taking a drop, going for the tube, or doing a manuver.  Fear plays a big part of hesitating, but not trusting your abilities to make a full committment, especially in critical situations also causes split second hesitations that always yield negative results.  Like any sport, the mental game is equally as important as one's physical skills.   Having trust in one's abilities to be able to commit and trust that committment is what separates the best of the best from the best.
