I am good at skateboarding street and gaps (stairs, handrails, etc.) so good I am in talks for getting sponsored for a deck with 2 different companys and I am 14 and only been skating for 2 year coming up in August!

But I fear skating skateparks because on my 2nd month of skating I fell from top of a 8 foot bank and I am scared of I will do the same. The only thing I can do is the handrails and the 6 foot mini ramp. I need to learn how to dropping in on the 10 foot quarterpipe and 8 foot bank not only to higher my skating abiltys but to concur my biggest fear! Help how can I not be a p***y?

  1. u were like me i did a 14 stair handrail and could drop in on the vans 20. what i did is i closed my eyes and just remembered to keep pushing down and stay balanced if that dont work then i dont know grow some balls?

  2. i actually had a similar problem to yours.

ive been skating for 1 1/2 years, and i went to this skatepark with a QP hip. i was getting phyched on the more experienced skaters hittin' it, so i went to drop in, and next thing thing know im on the ground with a huge hole in my shirt and a scrape on my back.

I hit the mini ramp till i was all warmed up, my friends were telling me to go bigger, so to show them up i covered my eyes and went down.

I fell down, hitting my head. i got up, people helped me up and we left.

that night i was so unnerved by not landing, the next day i went to a different park,(i was too scared to even go to that same park) and this guy my friend knew came over and told me that there is no way possible that you can lean too far forward. i tried the ramp there, and made it.

there you go, i hope it helps
