I only get scared when it gets really bad and you can't see in front of you. We are going camping tonight and it's suppose to rain really bad around the time we are leaving. So how can I get over it or can I?

  1. if you can't see in front of you, how do you suppose the other folks on the road can see. its you not the rain grow up.

  2. The only thing you can do is control the fear...And control it by using every bit of smarts and intelligence you have to make your trip uneventful...To do this:

Know exactly where you are going and exactly how you are going to get there...(What roads, turn by turn - use Google or MSN maps)

Make sure the headlights and wipers are in good shape.

Check that you have a full tank of fuel.

Let someone know where you are going and what time you expect to arrive...Make arrangements to call or text them once you've arrived just to let them know.

Make sure the cell phone is fully charged

Give yourself plenty of time to get there.

And if it doesn't feel right going out in the weather, don't do it...This is not an absolute must-do event...Reschedule.

    All the best

  3. You better postpone the trip for your safety.

  4. you are wise.

It is foolish to drive anything in a ''blinding'' rain.

It is much safer for everyone if you temporarily delay your driving until the weather is safer.

Remember its is not only you on the road. Someone else can just as easily drive into you.

  5. I'm a professional driver, and I've driven a whole lot of cars in a whole lot of situations...and in this case I would drink a lot of coffee to keep me going and I would adjust my speed to the driving conditions....and it would be useful if you had another driver sitting beside you who can take your place if, at a certain point, you feel tired or very scared, so that you may get some sleep or get over your fear!

  6. use umbrella

  7. Don't get over it.     Your apprehension will lead you to being more cautious,  slow down,   and not take stupid chances.    It is those who believe they are invincible that cause accidents through stupid and irresponsible behavior.

  8. 1. Get enough rest before the trip.

    2. Relax while riding in the car.

    3. Take something to keep you busy, i-pod, dvd or a book.

    4. Eat a good healthy lunch or dinner.

    5. This is just anxiety and if you understand that really nothing can happen, then you brain will understand this as well.

    Have fun and dont worry......
