Question:

Fear of riding my moto x bike in front of others?

So I just started riding last year and during the learning process I went out of my way to stay out of sight of others. Lately I've been riding on Tuesdays when I know everyone should be at work. However, we just found out that we are moving into another house the has two tracks (one in the field and one in the woods). At first I was extremely excited until I found out that the landlords friends frequently use the tracks. Technically I'm only renting the house so I can't stop them from using the track and either way I wouldn't ask them not to ride. So ultimately I would like to use the track when I want so how do I over come my fear of riding in front of others?

  1. Just dont care about what others think and if theysay something go off on them

  2. Ha its alright to be scared its an intense sport, maybe face your fear and head out on your bike one day while they are all out there.  When i use to go to the track in mesquite, NV.  sometimes i'ld just sit and watch the guys out there, watching them get into the turns and there technique can help alot.  And usually one of the guys out there would pull off and ask me what i needed help on.  Ha and if your scared of embarresing yourself i one time tried to pull off a wheely in front of some boys once and i totally almost hit a car, that was pretty bad

  4. Ask some trusted friends over to watch you and slowly build on that.  Invite someone who has a bike to come ride with you so you don't feel pressure when having another bike around you.

The only way to overcome fear is by doing whatever it is that you are frightened of and then you will slowly realise that the fear was unnecessary.

No one is judging you and most would say 'hey she is good to be having a go'

  5. Yep - or you could make out that you've never riden before and would like to have a go.

They'll be amazed at how quick you've picked it up and indeed, just how good you are for a first timer.

EEEEEEvennnnn better than that - A 'GIRL' who's never done it before and thatttttttttt good !!!

Come on girl you can turn this right round - they may well end up feeling the same way ! Lol

    Go for it - you've nothing to loose. - x*x -
