When I was little I used to LOVE roller coasters. But when I went to disney and rode tower of terror, I HATE roller coasters! :[ I like going fast and really high, but the drops just scare me! I mean I can go on that boatish ride when you go up high and theres two ends facing each other. If you know what ride that is, i just cant conquer my fear! any advice?!

  1. this is the same thing with me....when i was little i LOVED roller coasters until i rode the hulk in urniversal....i freaked out!!! so for lik 2 years my family go to amusment parks and i go and i couldnt ride the roller.c so finaly i went on a roller.c called valcano  and  went i got off i felt like wanted to go on again/...just try riding one and over come ur fears  and see how u like it=) best wishes!!

  2. I think you have to think about free falling before you ride. Free falls are great if you prepare yourself.  Watch bungee jumping videos and slingashot rides.  I think once you realize that there's a rush when your prepared, you'll won't think it's so bad.

  3. There are some steps that you can follow to try ease yourself into liking roller coasters, or at least not being so scared of them!

Try going on a smaller roller coaster before attempting to go on the scariest one in the bunch. Work your way up gradually to the one that terrifies you the most.

Take a friend along with you that loves roller coasters, so they can support you and reassure you it is supposed to be fun. Think about the idea of a roller coaster, they are intended to be scary, that is the fun part of it!

If you are out of your comfort zone and do not want to push it then don't worry. Stop where you are comfortable and don't worry about what anyone behind you or with you thinks!Do not sit in the front! If this is your first time and you are really scared the worst place is to sit in the front of the roller coaster. This is because no matter what you do you will see what is going on around you and may be even more terrifying for you.

If you are scared to look ahead of you to see what is coming, look straight down to the ground and you will feel like you are just going straight. Remember to always keep your head pushed back onto the cushion though for safety. When you are on the ground and looking up to the roller coaster it may seem scarier then it actually really is. You are safe on roller coasters, they have to go through a lot of testing every day before allowing anyone to go onto the roller coaster. It is more likely to get into an accident on the way over to the theme park then it is to have an accident on the roller coaster itself. Remember that is is all mind over matter!

There is nothing to fear, but fear itself!

  4. Try to remember your love for roller coasters when you were little. Remember the thrill and exitement and just do it again.

Basicly the tower of terror is not a coaster (exept for the SLOW start) because it just goes up and down so you should fear things that move up and down.(awesome ride btw i road it like 3 times in one day)

  5. I never liked Roller Coasters. i've ridden only one the Mr. Freeze.....never again shall i get on a roller coaster.

Just do what i did, close your eyes and pretend you are on the little carnival rides. imagine a time when you were little and with your family at the carnival. and soon it's over.

  6. i keep my eyes closed and say to myself it's only five minutes it's only five minutes- thats how i ride with my kids.

  7. Just do it. just face your fear. go on with a friend. don't think of it as scary...think of it as fun, because in the end, that's all it'll ever be...fun :]

    hope this helped.
