  1. Fear provokes a natural fight-or-flight response in mammals on our planet.  Therefore, it clearly does encourage a direct action.

Indirect fear is called "existential anxiety" and it is a philosophical topic of interest to many intelligent minds.

  2. Batman Begins? When Bruce encounters his fear of Bats, he later asks for his parents to go to a bat-like opera. Where soon his parents get mugged and shot to death outside the theater. This proceeds to him thinking it's his fault. Which leads to him wanting to kill the man that killed his parents. Learning that another person killed him first, showed what his friend was trying to show him was right; that where he lives is what  he is facing. Fear. Soon uses that fear to fear others that are doing the wrong thing. But then it goes wrong in "The Dark Knight :]" His action was to get rid of the people that will  may be facing with other innocent people.

Fear is an emotional response to threats and danger. Fear should be distinguished from anxiety, which typically occurs without any external threat. Additionally, fear is related to the specific behaviors of escape and avoidance, whereas anxiety is the result of threats that are perceived to be uncontrollable or unavoidable.

Knowing this people came to the philosophy to face there fears. Where it will not be unavoidable but not a threat to them as of heights and roller coasters.

  3. Some guy followed me into the house.  Normally I am pretty quiet and non reactive.  I began yelling and shoving him backwards out the door which I locked after he was on the porch.  True story!
