Question:

Feaster on his Keaster??

TSN reported Feaster resigned from the Lightning. Shortly after in their story, they mention the negotiated settlement he received. Maybe it's just me but wouldn't a negotiated settlement be more in line with a firing than quitting? Either way, the question is, who's been calling all the shots in Tampa if Feaster was planning to quit or the new owners were planning on firing him? He says he was standing on the sidelines watching all these deals being done by others, and praises them for a job well done.

  1. When the owner starts to feel that he can do a better job of running a hockey team we can see nothing but problems.

There are a few examples of this not working quite according to plan. Toronto from Ballard to Peddie. Detroit in the pre Devellano era, Boston, Buffalo, Chicago with Wirtz. Just a couple of times when owners don't always do the right thing. Maybe this time it's different.

  2. We discussed this breifly yesterday.  I'm glad he's gone.

Brain Lawton (director of hockey operations) is calling the shots according to TBL.

    Here's the local story:

Here's the meat and taters of the filling of a new position:

It will be interesting to see how this plays out in the front office. Lawton took time Thursday to run through the changes and job descriptions. Tom Kurvers and Claude Loiselle are co-assistant general managers. Kurvers had more player/personnel duties, especially on the minor-league side. Loiselle is in charge of contracts, negotiations and CBA compliance.

But Barrie said Feaster's job, per se, will not be filled and he believes Kurvers and Loiselle will keep their current titles.

  3. I have been wondering this myself..the original  report i heard was he was fired its the only way a buyout makes any sense

most of the moves they have made were done after Mullet Man Barry Melrose was hired ....Is it Possible he is behind it? no matter who it was they have made a huge turn around on paper.......Lets see if it translates to the ice. I'm pretty sure it will
