For centuries, poets, authors, musicians and the like have written about the conflicting battle of power between Man and Woman! With Man generally being the dictators. This battle is clearly evident in Shakespeare’s Taming of the Shrew as it is based on Elizabethan times which was a patriarchal society predicated on male power. However, over the years that patriarchal power has been destabilized by feminism and female empowerment. Gil Junger’s 10 Things I Hate about you demonstrates this successfully as the concept of “taming†in this generation is completely unacceptable.
